The Sessanta concert at the Toyota Music Factory on April 12, 2024 was a truly remarkable event, showcasing the incredible talents of three iconic bands – A Perfect Circle, Primus, and Puscifer. The concert was divided into three acts, each one featuring a unique blend of cover songs and original compositions that left the audience captivated from start to finish.

Act 1 began with A Perfect Circle, delivering powerful renditions of “The Package,” “Disillusioned,” and “The Contrarian” (featuring a special guest appearance by Carina Round). Primus then took the stage, treating the crowd to their signature quirky and intricate sound with covers of “Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers,” “Too Many Puppies,” “Sgt. Baker,” and “Follow the Fool.” Puscifer rounded out the first act with mesmerizing performances of “Galileo,” “Tiny Monsters,” and a versatile mix of “Indigo Children.”

The second act saw Primus take center stage once again, delighting the audience with fan-favorite covers like “Jerry Was a Race Car Driver,” “My Name Is Mud,” and “Over the Electric Grapevine.” Puscifer then returned to the stage, showcasing their atmospheric and thought-provoking sound with “Postulous,” “Momma Sed,” “Bullet Train to Iowa,” and “The Underwhelming.” The act concluded with A Perfect Circle’s powerful renditions of “The Hollow” (with Alexander on drums instead of Freese), “So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish” (featuring a captivating performance by Les Claypool on upright bass with bow), “Weak and Powerless,” and “The Outsider.”

The third and final act was a tour de force, beginning with Puscifer’s emotive performances of “The Humbling River” and “The Remedy.” A Perfect Circle then took the stage once more, delivering unforgettable versions of “The Noose” and “Judith.” The night culminated with Primus’ mind-bending take on “Southbound Pachyd”

Not wanting to disappoint the capacity crowd, the bands tooks a brief intermission meeting back on stage. Maynard then advised the crowd “Go ahead and pull out your phones for this one” after a few unindoctrinate phone users finally figured out their setting and almost ruined it for everyone, the music continued. The performance ended with a full rendition of Grand Canyon a Puscifer cover. If you are a fan of one or all of these bands you owe it to yourself to catch this tour. You won’t regret it!
