Black Veil Brides return to the Borderland

Black Veil Brides return to the Borderland

This past Saturday marks the second time I’ve had the sheer pleasure of covering Black Veil Brides, the first was four years ago on Halloween night here in El Paso, that was with Motionless in White and Ice Nine Kills, but that is another story.  Black Veil Brides brought their Vindicatour ll 2026 to none other than Speaking Rock Entertainment Center for another outdoor free concert.   Easy 12k showed up for this and why not?  Speaking Rock in my opinion is the premier venue in the Southwest to take in a show.   Top touring nationals are the order of the day and free to the public, who could ask for more?  Special thanks again to Matt and Karl, you guys are the best.    Black Veil Brides were conceived in Cincinnati in 06, pumped out 6 releases in 16 years. The most current is this year’s Vindicate, which this tour is in support of that release.   The band consists of Andy Biersack on vocals and the only original member I might add.  Jinxx on guitar, Jake Pitts also on guitar, Christian Coma doing the honors on percussion and Lonny Eagleton on bass.   Lineup changes were insane for those early years but settled down in 2011 with our current line-up, the same one I saw on Halloween night four years back.   And let’s not get into touring, these cats have been non-stop since 09, touring the world with the likes of Eyes Set to Kill, Motionless in White, The Birthday Massacre, Asking Alexandria and Blessthefall to name a few and that list is long.  I picked these from that list simply because I’ve shot them all before.  So, the stage is set, the house is packed, let’s go to work.
9:30 sharp the lights go down and Black Veil Brides take the stage.   This is the 3rd date on the tour, so the boys are fresh and you could tell this by the nonstop high energy and super strong crowd engagement put out by these guys, seasoned veterans is an understatement.   What can one say about Andy?  Commanding the stage like a general in battle, the audience singing along to every word, hanging on his every move, not to mention, all females, for the most part.   At one point, I thought I was at a Beatles show in 63 the way these girls were screaming for Andy, quite impressive to say the least.   13 songs over and done with in just about 60 minutes, give or take.   Only an hour but it was like getting hit by a truck, tight from start to finish and very well executed.  Stage presence and set up was on point, all in all, a night to remember.  As always, check those listings and if by chance Black Veil Brides are even coming close to you, I highly recommend this event, take my word, you won’t be sorry.  Thank you so much and as always, we’ll see you at the next rock show.
