As State elections draw closer, political messages will begin to propagate about voting will show up in the media as we prepare to VOTE!! Yes rockers, I’m talking to you. All of you! Even if you’re not politically affiliated or are on the other side of the isle – it’s time to put your big boy or girl pants on and see what you can do get involved with your state. How do you do that? You got to events like the Buffalo Tree Festival coming up in Dallas!
At the event you’ll not only see some killer bands and have a great time at a festival in Dallas, you’ll have an opportunity to talk to the 2018 Democratic Candidates and see where they align with your views.
Presented by The Homegrown Festival, the inaugural Buffalo Tree Festival, is an all-ages, family-friendly music & political engagement festival that will feature both musical acts and Democratic candidates take the stage for a day of entertainment, voter registration, and democracy in action.
Enjoy performances by Spoon, The Polyphonic Spree, Sparta, Sarah Jaffe, Bobby Sessions, and more in Downtown Dallas’ beautiful Main Street Garden Park.
Live music will be interspersed with appearances by Texas 2018 Democratic candidates including 2018 Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke, Colin Allred (running for Congress in Texas’ 32nd district), Lupe Valdez (2018 Democratic nominee for Governor of Texas), Kim Olson (2018 Democratic candidate for Texas Commissioner of Agriculture) and many more to be announced.
This event is not about just one concert. We want to inspire people to take action and get involved all the to Election Day November 6th.
