Marc Anthony brings his 2024 Historia Tour to the Don Haskins Center

What a way to start out the month of March by hosting Marc Anthony and his Historia Tour 2024 at the Don Haskins Center here in lovely El Paso, Texas.  Last Friday marks the second time I’ve covered Marc Anthony and at the same venue as it would be.  Both times, sold out and both times, everyone on their feet, everyone dancing, and I looked for anyone sitting, not one to be had, it’s quite the sight to see 12k people all dancing and singing at once and why not? Marc Anthony, the Latin Crooner, the best Tropical Salsa artist of all time has this El Paso crowd eating from the palm of his hand, what a showman, what an entertainer.

Doing my research on this epic individual I came to the conclusion, there’s nothing he hasn’t done, the list is endless, Film, TV and Broadway, 14 releases in 30 years, 25 Billboard Chart hits, Person of the year by the Latin Recording Academy, mutable foundations and this list goes on and on, it is quite impressive.  He hit the stage 40 minutes late, but nobody seemed to care once he got going. He prowled like a cat back and forth giving this frantic crowd exactly what they wanted, they pushed up towards the barricade and swayed to Marc’s intense crooning, yeah, the women were losing their minds is an understatement.  It seemed to be over in the wink of an eye, 10 song set list with 2 encores, but that hour and change sure packed a punch, a straight TKO, Marc Anthony style.  If Tropical Salsa is your thing, I suggest this tour, check your listings and get ready to dance, I warned you.
