Eyes Set to Kill makes their return to the Borderland

Eyes Set to Kill makes their return to the Borderland.

Eyes Set to Kill made their presence known last Saturday night here in West Texas when they brought, they’re Into the Wilderness with 15 years of Reach Tour to the infamous Rockhouse Dive Bar Kitchen Venue.   I’ve covered this band once or twice over the years and truth be told, they never fail to deliver.  The Rodriguez Sisters have been at it since 03, that’s Alexia on guitar and Anissa on Bass, also Caleb Clifton on drums and Jeremy Anderson, also on guitar.  Lineup changes have plagued the band, but the sisters have stayed the course, their first release was, of course Reach in 08 followed by 5 more over the past 10 years, Eyes Set to Kill being the last one in 2018.

Show started at 8 with local support Honey and Virosa, first time seeing them, rest assured they made an impression on me as well as the audience, what a show.  Touring support was Secrets and Lost in Separation, both of these bands were on point and really fun to watch, especially to photograph, oh yeah, they made great photos!   Close to 11, Eyes Set to Kill hit the stage with their blend of Alternative/Hardcore in your face metal madness, 14 songs were over before it even began.  Alexis just throws herself into her performance with total abandon, the chemistry between the sisters is something to see, that’s for sure, you can tell they’ve been at it for a minute or two.  The entire show was tight, fun and full of energy, I mean what more could you want in a rock show?  Eyes Set to Kill is hands down the entire package, so if you’re looking for one hell of a night, check those listings and get to one kick ass rock show, oh yeah….
