Pierce the Veil brings their Jaws of Life tour to the Borderland.

Pierce the Veil paid us a visit here in El Paso, Texas last Wednesday night at the Don Haskins Center in support of their latest release, Jaws of Life and yeah, on a Wednesday, but I gotta tell ya, fans were lined up for hours waiting on doors. The lines were long and wrapped around the building, not to mention, everyone was dressed for the occasion, not your typical metal show to say the least, but if you’re a people watcher, this event was a target rich environment. Some quick fun facts, founded in 06, 5 releases in 16 years and has toured Worldwide with the likes of Bring Me the Horizon, Sleeping with Sirens, The Devil Wears Prada and A Day to Remember and that just scratches the surface. Vic Fuentes on guitar on lead is the founding member with Tony Perry on lead guitar and the insane Jamie Preciado doing the honors on bass, he’s fun to watch, a serious showman is putting it lightly and last but not least, touring member Loniel Robinson on percussion.

In support was Destroy Boys, Dayseeker and L.S. Dunes, but the main event was what this sold-out Wednesday night audience was biting at the bit for, when Vic came on stage, you would think it was 1963 and you were at a Beatles concert, the entire barricade is lined with girls screaming at the sight of this young man, I say this because I shot him back in 2017 here in downtown El Paso and he hasn’t aged one bit, looks completely the same. Singing every word to every song and just enjoying the moment was the order of the evening. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, I love to see people having the time of their lives and that was certainly the case here in West Texas last week, looking forward to seeing them again, always a good time.
