Slightly Stoopid’s New Album
Everyday Life, Everyday People Out Now!
Featuring guest appearances Ali Campell (UB40), Alborosie,
Chali 2na (Jurassic 5), G. Love and more!
“We have some insane guests, childhood heroes of ours, from Ali Campbell of UB40, Don Carlos of course, Alborosie, Chali 2na from Jurassic 5, King Yellowman, G Love. It’s been a lot of fun for us, it’s like paying tribute to the people we grew up listening to. They paved the way for so many of the young bands today playing reggae music, and those guys are at the forefront of where it all started.”
– Miles Doughty (Slightly Stoopid)
“Musically they have discernible depth incorporating a slew of genres to their growing repertoire – everything from a home-base of Dub and Reggae to reaches into Trip Hop and Psychedelia”
– Reggaeville
“The Southern California band comes as close as possible to bringing those (live) performances into succinct recorded tracks. Everyday Life, Everyday People, the groups ninth album in two decades, adheres to the essence of those onstage moments” – Relix
“Escapist enlightenment” – The Marquee
“What I’ve seen of the band, you guys got soul. You got so much soul. You make
Jamaicans jump up and down.” – Tommy Chong
“These guys are pretty good! Tight band, tight sound.” – Bob Weir
Today, Slightly Stoopid release their highly anticipated 9th studio album Everyday Life, Everyday People.

“I think for us, at the point we are at in our lives; all of us have kids, and we’ve been touring for so long and seen so much, I think all of it is reflected in the new record (Everyday Life, Everyday People) and relates to everyone.” – Miles Doughty (Slightly Stoopid)
Everyday Life, Everyday People was inspired by the band’s hometown, Ocean Beach/San Diego, CA. To bring the vibe of their hometown visually, the band worked with friend and renowned artist Jay Alders who hand painted the cover art for Everyday Life, Everyday People. Alders is widely known for his surf art paintings.
Everyday Life, Everyday People was recorded at various studios across the world in San Diego, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Kingston, Jamaica, Long Beach, CA, New York, NY, and Miami, FL. It was produced by Slightly Stoopid, James M. Wisner, George Spits (LlamaBeats), Michael “Miguel” Happoldt, Jerry Wonda, and Colin “Bulby” York.
