“Don’t Push Play”
Saliva returns with their signature sound in the form of their newest record, Rise Up. And with it, there is seemingly not much difference from one record to the next from the Saliva camp as the band has not evolved much over the years.
Though the album is laced with motivating anthemic songs that will get a radio rock listeners attention, there is no real poetry in the lyrics. Rise Up seems to be directed toward the mainstream rock audience, and in that right it might be very successful, but as far as art goes—Rise Up is sorely lacking in depth.
