“Push Play”

Metal supergroup, Down, are at it again with their brand of Black Sabbath inspired doom metal, Down IIII part II is swampy metal at its best. The band’s decision to make four EP’s instead of a conventional full length has given them the opportunity to really trim the fat.

Past albums, while great, have been bulked out with filler songs, but there is none of that here. Songs like, “We Knew Him Well…” and “Conjure” are some of the band’s best material to date. This newest offering is precise and to the point, making it intriguing from start to finish. Down is a band that keeps it interesting, and Down IIII part II keeps that tradition alive.
