Hand Drawn Records. A Compilation. Volume 3.
Live Studio Session at Big Acre Sound (Copper Canyon, TX)
– Words by Michal Elizabeth Smith // Photos by Ronnie Jackson –
Post-rock glitch duo, Summer of Glaciers recorded their newest song, “To the Ground” for Hand Drawn Records’ third compilation album. Pulling from electronic and post-rock genres, they are a compelling and experimental act.
Comprised of multi-instrumentalist (and digital looping ace), Ryan Wasterlain, and singer, Miranda Alvarado, went unplugged during their tracking session. The duet silenced the room full of fellow musicians during their takes; interweaving a beautiful melody with lush layers of acoustic guitar and pulsing back beats.
