JUNE 23RD—FORT WORTH WEEKLY 11TH ANNUAL MUSIC AWARDS FESTIVAL—(8 Venues – Fort Worth, TX)

“48 of Fort Worth’s Best Bands, FOR FREE“
Eleven years of greatness continues this Sunday when Fort Worth’s independent weekly rag hosts 48 of the best bands in the Metroplex! It plays out like a mini-SXSW, except for free-er, funner, and with better music!
Yes, this fest gets a “GO”!
Music Christmas is here. From 4 ’til 10pm on Sunday, some of the greatest, most progressive bands in the Greater 817 area, including Burning Hotels, Fungi Girls, Quaker City Night Hawks, Calhoun, Holy Moly, The Hanna Barbarians, Whiskey Folk Ramblers, and more, 48 in all, will perform as part of Fort Worth Weekly’s 11th Annual Music Awards Festival, at eight venues in the West 7th corridor: Capital Bar, Fred’s Texas Cafe, The Grotto, Lola’s Saloon, Magnolia Motor Lounge, Poag Mahone’s, The Pour House, and Rodeo Goat. Admission is free — that’s right, 48 bands for free! — but bring some money for copies of Frequencies, Vol. 4, a compilation CD of new or previously unrecorded songs by select nominees in our 16th Annual Music Awards, including The Hanna Barbarians, War Party, Siberian Traps, Un Chien, Sonic Buffalo, and more, 18 in all. Proceeds from the $5-a-pop sale of the discs will go toward our charity sponsor, the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
