It’s been a long hard road for local Dallas musicians Serosia, but the opportunity to showcase their talent on a national level seems to have finally arrived. The band will be hitting the road in main support of Sevendust in mid September.
The ten city tour will start in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 18th and will end in Wilmington, NC on November 10th.
SEROSIA PUT NEW SPIN ON MELODIC HARD ROCK WITH ‘VARIABLES’, CONFIRM DATES WITH SEVENDUST
To some, “melody” used to be a bad word when discussing hard rock. But the emergence of the fast-rising Serosia proves this assumption to be a thing of the past, as their latest release, ‘Variables,’ challenges the listener, delivering a hard rock punch with expert melodicism. Stand out tracks such as “Friendly Fire,” “The Architect,” and “Superposition,” are evidence of Serosia’s powerful yet eloquent style.
“The best way to describe our sound is expressive and meaningful,” explains the group’s singer, Lucas D’Agata. “We are not a love song band, nor do we care about how hard you can party or how many chicks you think you can score. Musically, we are aggressive yet delicate, with a strong sense of detail and vision.”
In addition to D’Agata, Serosia is comprised of members Derek Troxell – guitars, Joseph Kuban – bass, and Anthony D’Agata – drums, and hail from Dallas, Texas. And as far as the band’s uncommon name, D’Agata explains it as “We were looking to create a word, rather than use something already in existence. It seemed to fit the original and organic feel of the music better that way. After a bit of brainstorming, Derek concocted SEROSIA.”
And the quartet succeeds in translating their far-reaching sound from the studio to the stage, as D’Agata promises “An actual show! Not just four dudes standing around playing meaningless repeated choruses, wearing all the newest fashion crazes. The end result/payoff of all of our efforts is the live show. We are intense and REAL. No choreographed stage moves, just us letting the music speak through our bodies. If there was a single word that could describe a Serosia show it would be, ENERGY.”
Lastly, upcoming dates with Sevendust are sure to expand Serosia’s fanbase even further. “We are honored for the opportunity to tour with not only such a well established national act. Sevendust is a band that we all genuinely enjoy and admire,” says the band. “For us, this tour is a stepping stone for Serosia to be exposed to a broader audience and to display our vision of the future of rock music. We are looking forward to connecting with all the fans along the way.”
