RATING: “DON’T PUSH PLAY”
Thirty Seconds to Mars’ fourth studio album, “Love Lust Faith + Dreams” is a minimalist effort and relatively similar to their “This Is War”. The album is entirely radio friendly which is why it is disappointing; not to mention, the lyrics are nothing new. Avid fans of 30STM will find it underwhelming, particularly with songs like “Do or Die” and “Bright Lights”.
Over the years, the band has drifted from their original harder rock genre into a more electronic pop sound. Listeners will find that what the band was trying to execute was not done properly. 30STM started the album off strong with “Birth”; however, the rest of the album fell short.
